The Zilla Parishad shall exercise the powers and functions as per the provisions contained in the rules as per the APPR Act 1994 as detailed below:-

1)                  Approval of Budgets of Mandal Parishads  in the District.

2)                  Distribution of funds allotted to the District by Central and State Government among the Mandal Parishads.

3)                  To Co-ordinate and consolidate the plans prepared in respect of the Mandals.

4)                  To make supervision on the activities taken up by Mandal Parishads.

5)                  To perform the powers and functions of the District board including the powers to levy any tax or fees as may be transferred under this act.

6)                  Advice on matters concerning the implementation of statutory orders referred  by the Govt. to Zilla Parishad .

7)                  Maintenance of ZPH Schools

8)                  Implementation of Rural Water Supply, Rural Sanitation, Roads, Sugar Cane Cess Works, Maintenance works, MI Sources and maintenance of School Buildings etc.,
